Tap into team potential.

In a world where businesses focus on keeping clients happy, it’s important to remember to concentrate on keeping your employees happy, too. Our team building seminars are effective and memorable because they get your employees to have fun and communicate. Our activities help co-workers better understand each other and ultimately learn how to be more effective at working together. All in all, they boost the morale of employees, which in turn increases the success of your business.

Your team building event will be a blend of “tried and true” exercises, along with others that address the specific challenges, strengths and culture of your organization. It’s a great way to show your employees that you value them, while giving them the opportunity to learn more about each other.

The best way to talk about best practices.

Running a company comes with making important decisions. We’re talking about hiring and firing employees. Before you go through with these necessary, but often stressful actions, you’ll want to be sure that you’ve established proper practices. Having these proper procedures alleviates some of the stress and keeps everything streamlined, manageable and reduces your liability. We’ll work together to build the right procedures that reflect the nature and tone of your business.

Taking training to the next level

The tenBiz team also comes trained in specialty areas, and we are ready to help train your employees as well. Our special certification gives us an extra edge when working with your team. By understanding different personality types, we’re able to enhance communication and take training to the next level–and so can your employees.

Behaviors/DiSC
Measured in four proportions (DISC: dominance, influence, steadiness and compliance), these behaviors reveal how an individual will perform, including how they prefer to communicate, what he or she will bring to a team,  his or her ideal environment and possible limitations he or she may face.
Myers Briggs/MBTI (Personality)
Understanding your MBTI type is self-affirming and encourages cooperation with others. This “test” guides participants to identify their unique personality preferences, and the information will enhance their understanding of themselves, their motivations, their natural strengths, and their potential areas for growth. It will also help participants appreciate people who differ from their own preferences.
Situational leadership
Deployed in more than 70% of Fortune 500 companies, Situational Leadership® transcends cultural and generational differences and equips leaders around the globe with the skills necessary to address a specific challenge, drive behavior change and increase productivity.
Emotional Intelligence/EQ
Measured in five areas within interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence, Emotional Intelligence (also referred to as EQ) is an individual’s ability to sense, understand and effectively apply the power and acumen of emotions to facilitate high levels of collaboration and productivity.

Each of these were based on measuring 25 research-based personal skills directly related to the business environment. When applied in conjunction with a job benchmark, Competencies ensure the skills of each individual match the soft skills required by the job.
Acumen
Acumen, or a person’s keenness and depth of perception, will identify how a person thinks and makes decisions and will clarify one’s natural abilities or capacities. It is assessed using three dimensions of thought, analyzing both world and self-views: intrinsic, extrinsic and systemic.

Youth Entrepreneurship Camp

Teaching kids the importance of entrepreneurship in high school and/or middle school will have a lasting effect into their adulthood. Our hands-on, creative youth camps focus on entrepreneurship, building confidence and working as a team. Over the course of a week, campers work on problem solving, public speaking and creativity skills, as well as learn the ins and outs of what it takes to start a business. Eventually campers build their own businesses, culminating in a presentation of their business ideas to a panel. They also hear from community members and business leaders.

We facilitate these camps all over the region. Contact us to see about bringing a camp to your own community.
